The heart of Hobart...

Standing proud in the heart of Hobart is The Telegraph Hotel, an institution since it was established in 1858 and we’re very humbled to be part of this historic pub’s next chapter.

The special renovation will see a revitalised ground-floor public bar, a stylish first-floor dining room and an inviting rooftop terrace that overlooks Hobart’s waterfront. With a new menu from Executive Chef Christian and Head Chef James Chaston offering favourite pub classics alongside modern, produce-driven dishes that make the most of Tasmania’s local ingredients.

Menu highlights include the 300g Free Range Nicholls Chicken Parmi and Fries, Cape Grim Beef Pie with Mash and Mushy Peas, Fired Eggplant and Mozzarella Pizza and Meander Valley Cream Panna Cotta. Pair this with your choice of local whiskey, beer and win or a quality range of popular Australian and international drops.

Stephen Bourke, who is the joint owner of the building with Brendan Bourke, said they were excited to re-open their family pub. “Our family has owned and loved this magnificent waterfront pub for around 30 years. The total refurbishment we’ve undertaken including our stunning rooftop bar is the realisation of our dreams for the Telegraph.”

So if you find yourself in Tassie, check out this new-look local and enjoy the stunning views!
